15 Minute Home Workout
Hey gang! Well, here it is, the 15 Minute “No Gym Necessary” Home Workout I promised you guys. I just got done filming it and editing it on my MacBook — watch out Spielberg, I’m hitting the scene with some out of this world editing
To break it down, here is what you need:
**A small open space, like your living room, and in my case,
my mud room.
**A set of dumbbells
**And a positive attitude
Here’s what you’ll do:
Take these 5 basic, full-body, metabolism boosting exercises:
**Push-ups
**Squats
**Woodchops
**Lunges
**Rows
Do 10 reps each at a light intensity. Meaning, these are the same 5 exercises you’ll be doing for your workout, just at a much easier pace than your actual workout.
Rest for 1-2 minutes after your warm-up, and then repeat the same 5 exercises, for 10-12 reps, bumping up the intensity, for instance doing push-ups on the ground, and adding your dumbbells to the other exercises.
Rest for 1 minute after completing the circuit and repeat 1,2 or 3 more times depending on how you feel.
This is how it should look like:
Warm-up: Do 10 reps of each exercise
**REST 1-2 minutes**
Workout: 10-12 reps of each exercise, moving from one exercise right into the next
**REST 1-2 minutes after your circuit**
Repeat the circuit 1-3 times
**All done**
Remember, if you are just starting out and haven’t exercised in forever, DO NOT get ahead of yourself. Take your time, and PAY ATTENTION to how your body is feeling.
The idea is to just get your body moving. You don’t need to lace up a brand new pair of Nike’s and hit the pavement at 5 am running to get and stay in shape. It’s not that complicated.
And remember, no amount of exercise can out do a poor diet and unhealthy and destructive lifestyle habits like negative thinking, excessive stress, lack of sleep, smoking/drinking etc.
