Meet Sirena

Well hello there, and welcome to The Naked Dish!

Thank you so much for clicking and reading.

If you haven’t quite figured it out yet, my name is Sirena.

I’m 28 (very soon to be 29, but who’s counting), personal trainer, friend, sister, daughter, and all around awesome human-being (you’ll soon learn that I’m my #1 fan).

I live in Boston, MA and make my living as a professional trainer and pilates instructor at Healthworks Fitness Center in Coolidge Corner.

I love what I do. And I love helping people.

I also have a ton of hobbies: reading, cooking, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, enjoying life, making other people smile.

And of course writing.

Which is where this blog comes into play.

I started blogging about food and nutrition back in 2009  but since then, my personal experiences and interests have evolved quite a bit.

Where I was initially interested in taking pictures of my food, and sharing my recipes (which was always very fun) with my friends, I actually found more purpose and more interest from my readers, when I wrote about topics that stemmed from my own personal life experiences.

What was suppose to be a food blog, turned into something else.

I found that I was more inspired and was able to impact more lives when I talked about more personal matters.

Love. Happinness. Success. Mindfulness. Productivity. Those kinds of things.

I found through sharing my own life experiences, my success and my failures, I was able to connect more intimately with my readers, and was able to inspire and help those readers (and many of them friends) sort through their own difficulties.

Through this, I felt more fulfilled and driven knowing that through sharing my ups and downs, I was able to help other friends share their experiences, and in turn, help someone else down the line in the process.

I was soon very conflicted, but knew I could only write about the things that inspired me and that truly helped the world around me.

Writing about these things to help inspire other people to live happier, healthier and more productive lives only felt natural.

My intent with this site is to share with you simple and honest advice to help you live a healthier, happier and more vibrant life.

Things that I’ve learned from friends, family, mentors, books and through my own experiences that help me stay positive and happy throughout my day.

I’m not a licensed life coach, or therapist, or doctor. I cannot tell you that all of this will work for you.

But, I am a friend.

A real live human being, who’s been through her fair share of ups and downs, and who can hopefully through my own experiences, share with you the things that have worked for me.

The reason why I write is for you, my readers.

So, I want to thank you again one more time, for taking the time, to come here and visit me.

I appreciate your time and your energy, and I am looking forward to sharing and learning from each other.

Always,

Sirena
