Classic Chicken Adobo

Ingredients:
2 lbs. chicken, any cut, bone in or bone out, doesn’t matter. I like to use a combination of chicken breasts and wings
1/2 yellow onion
4 cloves garlic
1 inch piece of fresh ginger
1/2 cup wheat free soy sauce
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup water
Ground black pepper

Classic Chicken Adobo Ingredients
Directions:
1. Wash and clean chicken thoroughly and set aside.
2. Slice the onion, and chop the garlic and ginger.
3. Put all of the ingredients, including the soy sauce, rice vinegar, water and crushed black pepper into a glass pot.
4. Cook over medium heat, and turn down to low once it comes to a boil. Allow to simmer for 45 minutes.
5. Serve over brown rice and ENJOY!
Classic Chicken Adobo

I made this Tuesday night; I have no idea how I didn’t screw it up. Honestly, it’s a credit to the instructions you give in the recipe.
Mine didn’t look as pretty as yours =( But it was very tastey. Keep’em comin!
John,
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed. It really is tough to screw this one up. Adobo is usually the first dish I give people when I introduce them Filipino cuisine, kinda to break them in for the more exotic stuff later!
Ciao!
