How To Boost Your Productivity and Reach Your Goals For Under $30

Hey guys, what’s going on?
I hope that you are having an awesome day so far.
I have a great post (and video!) I want to share with you today about a simple tool that I use that helps me reach my goals.
Over the weekend, I received a text from my friend Katherine that gave me the idea for this blog.
Our text convo went exactly like this:
Katherine: I think I want a goal board like yours. Have you ever blogged about it?
Me: I’ve mentioned it in blogs, but haven’t done a specific post on it. I can blog about it to give you ideas. I think that’s great you want one. Helped me tons.
Katherine: Yes, blog it! I just feel like I need a smidge more focus.
Me: How about this, I’ll help you set one up if you help me make a video for my blog about the board?
Katherine: Haha. Sure

Me: Cool, I think it would be easier to explain in video. And I can help you focus.
Katherine: Sirena Bernal: Professional Focuser
Sirena: Love it.
Katherine: You are the best ever. The most incredible, amazing, and funniest person I know. You should have your own show.
Sirena: I know.
Ok, even though the last two lines weren’t part of that conversation, this text did inspire this post and video.
Katherine was going to help me film, but I actually went ahead and filmed the video myself since I wanted to get this up for you guys as soon as possible.
In the following video, I share with you my personal whiteboard that I have hanging in my room, and how I use it to boost my productivity, to help me reach my goals, and to keep me positive and happy.
After watching the video, be sure to check out the tips below to help you get started with your own whiteboard.
I started my whiteboard several months ago, and it has made a huge impact in my productivity and has helped me reach my goals faster. Check out how, below:
Here’s a few tips to help you get started with your whiteboard:
1. Figure out exactly what you want to use your whiteboard for. You can use it to:
- Keep track of your yearly, monthly, weekly and daily goals like I do.
- Jot down your ideas and your thoughts.
- Write inspirational quotes.
- Create mind maps.
- Draw and doodle.
2. Find an area in your room or office that you will always be able to see your whiteboard. My board is positioned in my room so that it is the very first thing I see when I wake up. Having this visual reminds me right away of the goals I want to accomplish. Keeping it out in the open makes it more real and is a constant reminder to yourself.
3. Pick up a whiteboard for under $30 at Amazon. Here’s a good one that I found for you: Whiteboard
4. Also purchase a few different colors of dry erase markers to highlight certain areas. Different colors will help make your board more visually appealing, and will catch your attention more.
5. Practice using your whiteboard daily, and mark off the goals that you accomplish. I also use a tally system to keep track of certain goals, like how many workouts I do each month. I find this a great way to knock off bigger goals and to show your accomplishments.
6. Add your own little flair to the whiteboard to make it truly personal. As I mentioned in the video, use the whiteboard however you see fit. Your whiteboard is your personal project, so use it in a way that will work best for you. You can cut out images from magazines for inspiration, put up pictures, article clippings, brochures, etc etc. The more visual, the better!
I hope that you enjoyed this post and were able to take a few ideas to help you implement your own whiteboard.
Do you already have a whiteboard of your own? If so, what do you use it for?
And if you don’t have one yet, would you consider making one for yourself?
Let me know in the comment section below!
Thanks again for reading and I’ll talk to you soon
Your friend,
Sirena
