The Real Breakfast of Champions
In a little while, our grocery stores are going to be littered with the newest Wheatie’s Box showcasing one of our Olympic Athletes. Now, to think we could actually get real nutrition from a box is completely absurd to me. However, the majority of our population has been hypnotized by modern media to believe that highly-processed wheat flakes manufactured in warehouse, can provide just the right amount of juice to get you through the day.
An ideal breakfast (or any meal for that matter), should contain a combination of the 3 macronutrients that are in line with your Metabolic Type: carbohydrates, fat and protein. The amount of each and the ration of the three are all going to vary from person to person. As a Fast Oxidizer, I perform optimally (mentally, physically and emotionally) with a much higher ratio of fat and protein. Thus, the bacon AND the eggs.
One of the biggest complaints I hear about skipping breakfast is a lack of time. And to be perfectly honest, it’s not a lack of time, but a lack of priorities. For me, waking up an early to take my time to prepare and cook a good meal, is worth it.
Bottom line –>> Forget the Wheaties, the following is the REAL breakfast of champions:

Real Breakfast of Champions
- 2 overeasy, organic, cage-free pasture fed eggs (cooked in coconut oil)
- Organic, nitrate/nitrite-free maple smoked bacon (I save the bacon fat and cook with it — great when you add into meatloaf!)
- Organic orange slices
1 Green Smoothie
Ingredients (all organic):
- Kale
- Strawberries
- Banana
- Avocado
- Spring water

Yeah Sally Fallon would be proud.I have this for breakfast most mornings while my friends eat cereals, and then pretty much carbs all day and complain to me they are exhausted. Yet mock me for eating buffalo burgers for breakfast? Most individuals are programmed from birth, its always good to see someone who has deprogrammed them self from all the misinformation. If you’re eating shit food you will have shit thoughts, which will never allow you to be in touch with your bodies subtle communication. That is until you become sick and are forced to.Great website full of relevant and truthful information.
Greg, dude, let’s have a drink.
I was just having a conversation yesterday with someone about being “programmed” in our society. As a personal trainer and coach, I see it every day. We are all living an illusion, and the sad part is most people don’t even realize they’re stuck in it. And the funny part is, that I end up being taken as “odd” for not subscribing to modern societal norms.
Great comment. And thanks for hanging out here
